Welcome to the Ergotamine Forum

Elaine Gross said 1 year ago ago:

Due to chronic migraines, my neurologist prescribed Migranal to me to use as a migraine “buster” for a time when I need to be migraine free, such as an upcoming important event. I use the spray twice per day for three days prior to the event. It does work, but the side effects after the first day during the treatment make me ill (nausea, dizziness, and just feeling sick. I rarely do this.

Hi Elaine,

Thank you for telling us about your experience! I can’t take any ergotamines, so can only guess what they are like. I am wondering however, if there might be a way for you to pre-treat with an anti-nausea drug such as Zofran before using the ergotamine? I know when giving IV DHE this is really very routine.
